🎃 OCTOBER
- This year, Halloween is on Friday—Dojo will be closed on Friday, 10/31. Please have fun and stay safe! 👻 Classes resume on Saturday, November 1st.
- Starting Thursday, October 30th, Senpai Kacie will resume teaching in the dojo. We are delighted to support her pursuit of a Master’s degree in Education. She will be at the dojo on Thursdays for the following classes:
4:30 - 5:30 pm: Kumite class
5:30 - 6:30 pm: Advanced Kata only
🦃 NOVEMBER
- There will be no class on Tuesday, Nov 11th, in observance of Veterans Day.🇺🇸 There will be a Bo class on Monday, Nov 10th at 5:30.
- JKO Black Belt Kata Seminar will be on Saturday, 11/8, at 11:30-1:30. Cost is $25 per participant. Please see the flyer for details.
- JKO Kumite Seminar will be on Saturday, 11/15, at 12:00-2:00 with USA Kumite Champion, Brian Hilliard. The fee is $30 for the seminar.
- In observance of Thanksgiving, the Dojo will be closed Wednesday, 11/26, through Sunday, November 30th. Don’t eat too much turkey!🍗 Regular classes will resume on December 1st to work off Thanksgiving dinner.
❄️ DECEMBER/JANUARY
- The next Kyu Test will be on December 3rd at 4 pm. Applications will need to be submitted by 11/25. Given the holidays, please plan accordingly.
The Dojo will be closed for Christmas starting Tuesday, December 23rd, through Sunday, December 28th. Classes resume on Monday, December 29th.
In observance of the New Year, the dojo will be closed starting Wednesday, 12/31/25, through Sunday, 01/4/26. Classes resume on Monday, January 5th, 2026!

The JKO Annual Tournament & events will be on January 16th-18th, 2026.
-Black belt test will be on Friday, January 16th, @ 5 pm.
- Dojo will be closed on Jan 19th in observance of MLK Jr. Day.
The dojo will be closed on Monday, January 19th, 2026, in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
