2026 September JKO Bulletin News

Dear JKO Members & families,

I hope you all had a wonderful summer as we prepare to welcome the new school year. Please take a moment to review the important announcements for September.

The Kyu Rank Test:

The Kyu Rank test will be held on Wednesday, September 2nd start from

4 PM. The Application form and fees must be submitted by Monday, August 24th.

All applicants should verify their attendance since their last belt test in the JKO Passbook to make sure they meet the attendance requirement, which is necessary for promotion eligibility.

The Labor Day weekend Closure:

The dojo will be closed from Saturday, September 5th to Monday, September 7th in observance of Labor Day. Classes will resume on Tuesday, September 8th.

The Kata and Kumite Seminars:

Please see the attached flyer for the September month’s seminars.

The Kumite seminar is scheduled for Saturday, September 12th, from 12 PM to 2 PM, and the Kata seminar will take place on September 26th from 12 PM to 1:30 PM.

The fee is $30.00 per seminar.

The Fiesta’s 53rd Annual International Karate Championship:

This event will occur on Sunday, September 13th at the South Gate Sports Center, located at 9520 Hildreth Ave, South Gate, CA.

Additional details can be found on the flyer in the dojo.

Registration is online.

WKF Youth League:

The WKF Youth League will take place in Guadalajara, Mexico,  from September 16th to 20th, 2026.
