JKO Members
JKO students have dominated the Men's Black Belt division in the AAU and USAKF National Championships. Our students have won not only the Individual sparring but also the Team Kumite and the Kata divisions for fourteen consecutive years (since 1984).
JKO's Men's Black Belts won four consecutive years in Individual Kumite, Individual Kata, Team Kumite and Team Kata in the International Traditional Karate Tournament in Las Vegas Nevada.
JKO International members won the silver medal and the bronze medal in the WKF World Karate Championship in 1994. Our members won the silver and bronze medals in the World Games and World Cup in 1997.
JKO Junior members have also been winning in the Junior world Cup since 1995 in Budapest and Hungary. They have also won a gold medal in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1996.
In 1988 Black Belt Magazine called the JKO "Best Karate School". Hanshi Miki has been the cover story in national Magazines: Black Belt magazine's June, '86 issue.; Made in America's January, '92 issue; and Karate Profiles June '93 issue.
